Phil Spencer revealed some interesting pieces of information a few hours ago on Twitter. When a fan asked him if the game they would see on Xbox Scorpio would be better than their PlayStation 4 Pro counterparts or would just be better ports, Spencer said that developers were already tweaking their Windows builds for 6 TFLOPS.
You can read the conversation here. The fact that developers are already working on optimizing their amazing Windows builds for Xbox Scorpio means that the games will look significantly better than their PlayStation 4 Pro versions. The difference between 4 TFLOPS and 6 TFLOPS is the same as the power of a PlayStation 4 for example. Imagine how good games would look if you combined the power of an additional PlayStation 4 with the PlayStation 4 Pro. The results will be mind-blowing and I’m glad developers are working on Xbox Scorpio specific upgrades right now.
Another point to note is that the PlayStation 4 Pro uses existing assets like existing textures. Xbox Scorpio games will use better textures too, something the PlayStation 4 Pro doesn’t do. The games will support higher textures on Xbox Scorpio too. This is definitely a true upgrade.
