Games being unofficially announced through games ratings boards are no longer a rare occurrence, and Ubisoft’s zombie survival horror title ‘ZombiU’ seems to have suffered in this way. ZombiU, a survival first person shooter that launched alongside the Wii U, appears to be coming to Xbox One thanks to a rating board listing.
The Australian rating board has listed that a game from Ubisoft called ‘Zombi’ will be coming to Xbox One. Little is known at this point, and ports onto other platforms have not been detailed. ZombiU released November 18th 2012, alongside the Wii U console rebooting the 1986 game ‘Zombi’. This was Ubisoft’s first game ever published and was reimagined for Wii U, using the gamepad to aid the first-person combat. The game itself was not received well, however was applauded for its successful use of the gamepad.
It is unclear currently if the Xbox One version would use Smartglass, or the second screen experience would be removed completely. We will most likely hear more in the near future, or at Gamescom in August. We will make sure to keep you updated on ICXM.net.
