RUMOR: Alleged footage from Call of Duty in Vietnam emerges

Update: The footage is apparently fake and taken from old Battlefield games and other projects. You can check out all the details on Captain Rutger’s Twitter feed.

Sledgehammer Games’ next installment in the Call of Duty series launches this year and is widely anticipated by fans of the series, especially after their stellar introduction to Call of Duty with 2014’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Now, nearly a year away from the usual release date, we may have a leak of the next Call of Duty titled Call of Duty: People’s Army.

Allegedly set in Vietnam, the Sledgehammer developed game has been shown through off-camera footage of an in-development build. Shown at what sounds like some sort of press event in Asia, the video shows nothing more than a multiplayer menu, main menu and character models.

While the footage could indeed be fake due to menu elements looking fairly low quality for a Call of Duty title, the game would currently still be in development meaning that placeholder assets could still be in the game right now. Tell us what you think in the comments below. We aren’t sure if this is real or not. What do you think?
