Remember the Borderlands Handsome Collection Claptrap-In-A-Box Edition, released last March? For $400 you received a remote control Claptrap robot, controlled via an app on your phone. Also included was The Handsome Collection game, of course, twelve vault hunter lithographs, and an exclusive steel case. But for those who want something slightly different, 2K has revealed yet another collector’s edition…
The Gentleman Claptrap-In-A-Box Edition is *almost* identical to the original. The game, lithographs, and steel case are all the same. The one difference is the aesthetic of the remote control Claptrap, which now resembles Gentleman Claptrap, top hat and all.
Claptrap is still controlled by an app, available on IOS and Android, and Claptrap’s vision can still be displayed on your phone via the camera in his eye. He also makes sound effects, although it sounds like no new sounds have been added since the last edition.
Although the Gentleman Edition will be available on November 27th for $400, keep in mind that the original Claptrap Collector’s Edition is still available for purchase for the same price. If interested, choose the Claptrap model whose cosmetic look is more pleasing to you, as this new edition does not add any other novel features.
