Update: Doom is available for digital pre-order everywhere now.
If you like free games…and Doom, you’re gonna love what I’m about to say. The pre-order page for the newest game of the franchise was briefly leaked on the Xbox Store page in Australia, although it has since been removed. This page stated that if you pre-order Doom, you will get the original game (Doom), and its sequel (Doom 2). This is awesome for the old school fans of the franchise, but I’m wondering why Doom 3 isn’t on that list.
The most probable reason for this being the case could be an issue with bringing it to the Xbox One through backward compatibility. The other extra that we get is a multiplayer pack. What exactly is included in the pack is still unknown at the moment. When pages like this normally surface, they are usually confirmed to be true, so the probability of this being legit is quite high.
Either way, with the game due to release May 13th, these “bonuses” are somewhat subject to change. So there is still a possibility for Doom 3 to make the list.
