In a live Twitter question session, the Microsoft Edge Development Team were answering inquiries sent to them by the community. It wasn’t too long before a question related to Xbox One was asked and answered. A user by the name of SHarshaT asked, “Are you bringing Edge to Xbox 1? Will it have the same features as Win10? I am missing lot of functionalities on current browser.”
The development team responded, “Yes, Edge will be coming to Xbox One”. While no time frame was given, we have always known that the browser would make its way to the console. The browser will replace Internet Explorer and be a highly customized experience designed for televisions.
We don’t know what features will be available on the Xbox One version of Edge. It will be interesting to see what the team accomplishes with the new Xbox One experience. Hopefully it’ll be available to Preview members soon.
