I’m following this story intently as a big fan of the classic Final Fantasy games. Midgar Studio are currently running a campaign on Kickstarter to fund ‘Edge of Eternity’ – an RPG inspired by classic JRPGs of legend.
Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Lost Odyssey, Legend of Dragoon, Persona, Shadow Hearts, Vagrant Story… the JRPG pantheon is gargantuan, but arguably, thus far, it doesn’t look like we’re going to get anything of this classic calibre on Xbox One from any of the “Triple A” publishers any time soon.
Luckily, Midgar Studio’s Edge of Eternity looks to be shaping up nicely in this latest vid!
Considering the footage is pre-alpha from a small team, I think Edge of Eternity holds a lot of promise. If you like what you see – consider a donation over on their somewhat humble Kickstarter.
