Firewatch, the highly anticipated first-person adventure game, could be coming to other consoles besides PlayStation 4. In an interview with RedBull, developer Sean Vanaman said that if there is enough desire for it on other platforms, they would look into it.
Another factor that will dictate Firewatch’s future is how well the launch goes. It is releasing next week on February 9th, and the story follows a volunteer fire lookout after the Yellowstone fires of 1988. The game has gotten a lot of press attention, so hopefully more gamers are aware of it.
It’s great to see that developers want as many people to play their games as possible. Jonathon Blow recently stated that The Witness could also come to Xbox One if fans wanted it. Many titles now launch as timed-exclusives, only to come to other platforms at a later date.
How would you feel about Firewatch coming to Xbox One? Is it something that you are interested in? Let us know in the comments.
