Forza Motorsport 5 featured microtransactions at launch where one could buy tokens to purchase cars and boosts using real money. Forza Horizon 2 also received tokens post-launch. According to tradition, Forza Motorsport 6 is about to get tokens as well. Starting tomorrow, the game will let players to purchase in-game cars and mod packs using actual currency. However, players don’t wish to use tokens can disable them from the menu.
Turn 10 Studios said, “On Saturday, we’ll be activating tokens in Forza Motorsport 6, allowing players to purchase tokens which can be used for in-game items like cars and Mod packs. Players who do not wish to see the token feature in Forza Motorsport 6 menus will have the option to disable this feature from appearing by turning Tokens off in the HUD Options menu.”
It was only a matter of time before they were added but I’m glad we went a few months before that. I’ve finished Forza Motorsport 6 already so it’s not a big deal but many will be disappointed. What do you think?
