Gears of War 4 is finally here! If you’re on-top of all the E3 news, you will have already seen the Gears of War 4 gameplay. How fantastic does it look?
During the video, we are introduced to two new characters, Jamie and Kait, who are on some sort of mission that has lead them to encounter some sort of monster unrelated to the locust. The whole presentation seemed a lot darker than most of the scenes we have seen in the Gears franchise (apart from Dom’s scenes which are still the darkest moments of gaming, possibly ever).
Everything is very dark and gloomy, but never have I seen such a green Gears of War setting. There are so many trees and bushes, with leaves blowing everywhere, which suggests to me that this is set before the trilogy we all know and love. There are also no locust in the demo, this could be because they haven’t turned up yet, but we only saw a very small part of the game so maybe they are trying to throw us off the scent of what the game will really be like.
Overall, I think the new Gears looks fantastic. It’s hard to say much from what we saw, but I’m positive they know what they are doing, and will deliver a kickass Gears game. What did you think of the Gears 4 gameplay? Let us know below.
