As if we haven’t waited long enough for heists to be added to GTA online, good news! GTA online has been confirmedfor March 10th release, also pictures of the content you’ve all been waiting for has been revealed. None of these will shock you as most have already been shown in the trailer, but it’s nice to know that they haven’t forgotten out us!
There are new vehicles, guns and characters for you to see with this apparent leak, appearing first on twitter. Lets be honest though, a “leak” is the best publicity stunt going around at the moment, so don’t be fooled. Showing these pictures so close to the release of the new mode is definitely to get everybody excited about it again.
A number of images were tweeted out showing a new truck with a turret in the back, a new getaway vehicle dubbed the ”The new Karin Kuruma”, because there is no such thing as having to many cars, a plane which looks pretty similar to the others, it’s just black, along with black bikes and a black chopper, very fancy. I’m guessing this is to match your characters when they are all wearing their military gear.
What interested me most was the gear pictures, which infer Rockstar are attempting to add more depth into the new “heist mode”. They were all called “team gear” and my guess is that there will be multiple ways to complete a heist, and you can use any of the gear shown. One of the pictures shows night vision goggles, and another shows guns like the first, but this time it has a parachute instead of the night vision goggles. There is another picture with masks, explosives and a laptop, which could mean there could be a more high tech way of stealing the cash for the heist missions.
These pictures make the heists seem pretty exciting, as everybody could play them completely different, or maybe the different heists just have different tools needed to be completed, either way, I am excited to play GTA again.
Another interesting point added, was that Heists will also be included to the last generation of consoles, but they won’t only have 5 heists, they will have 6. Why? I think it’s a thank you and maybe even a sorry, for people who bought into GTA hoping to get heists straight away and over a year later yet we have only seen a trailer. Also there will be characters from single player that will be playable online, what that means? I’m not exactly sure, but it sounds brilliant.
