Halo 3: ODST likely dropping on Xbox One May 29

Update: An official statement from 343 Industries on the Halo Twitter account tells us that the May 29 date was inadvertently listed on the Xbox Store. They stated that they will continue final testing and will make an official announcement when the release date is confirmed.

An add-on for Halo 3: ODST now appears under the Halo: The Master Chief Collection page on the Xbox Store. The game has a release date of May 29, 2015 and is a rather sizable 8.1 GB download. A few months ago, 343 Industries announced that the Halo 3: ODST campaign would be free for customers who bought the collection early and experienced issues with multiplayer matchmaking.

The price for everyone else hasn’t been revealed at this time. The title runs at 1080p 60 FPS on the console, looks stunning and feels very responsive. With Halo 3: ODST having a release date promised before June, this is likely a final date. With the campaign of Halo 3: ODST, we will also recieve a remake of Halo 2’s Relic map, running in the Halo 2: Anniversary engine. This download will most likely be seperate to the Halo 3:ODST campaign and arrive as an update. Stayed tuned to ICXM for the latest news about Halo 3: ODST and the update when they release.
