Halo 5: Guardians releases in just under two weeks and most of us will be going to our local game store, standing outside in the freezing cold or laying in our warm bed until midnight when the game unlocks digitally.
Microsoft has a bit of a crazier way of doing the midnight launch holding an event called Halo 5: Live, they will be selling a Master Chief helmet made of diamonds, holding a real life match of the new Halo mode, Breakout, and will even select a fan to play Halo 5 inside of a god damn helicopter!
Microsoft will be doing a 6 hour livestream starting at 6 PM eastern on YouTube for this Halo-palooza on October 26th. As I mentioned before, they’ll be selling a Master Chief helmet made of 30,000 Swarovski crystals to the highest bidder and the proceeds will go to an unannounced charity, in Hong Kong, fans will get to play a real life version of the new Breakout multiplayer mode, in Australia a lucky fan will get to play Halo 5 in a helicopter, and it sounds like Microsoft is launching Agent Locke and Master Chief action figures into space for a selfie..? No clue how they’ll pull that off but it sounds awesome!
Halo 5: Guardians launches October 27th and you can pre-load the game now if you’ve pre-ordered the game digitally! You can view the event here.
