During a recent talk in which Bonnie Ross confirmed split-screen co-op for Halo 6, she said that Halo 6 wouldn’t feature a convoluted story. Ross acknowledged that Halo 5 had too much going on and that telling a simpler but stronger story was the way to go forward.
Halo 5 had way too many characters and we really didn’t need Agent Locke and his team if I’m honest. Those characters should’ve gotten a spin-off like Halo 3: ODST. Hopefully Halo 6 fixes the mistakes of Halo 5 because I want a strong narrative that focuses on Master Chief. I hate playing as other characters! Many people might say that that’s quite narrow-minded but it really isn’t. Master Chief, even with a few words, is more interesting than everyone else in the Halo universe.
