Free-to-play brawler Happy Wars coming to Xbox One on April 24

Update: Japanese developer Toylogic just announced that the Xbox One version of its free-to-play action game Happy Wars will release on April 24, 2015. The game accidentally went live earlier this month, but was quickly removed from the Xbox Store. They also stated that the game has been downloaded more than 10 million times on Xbox 360 to date.

Toylogic have accidentally released the Xbox One version of Happy Wars in various regions. If you search for Happy Wars on the Xbox One Store, you can download it for free right now. It is being taken down as we speak so be sure to get it quickly. The game still states that it is a prerelease version so there might be some bugs. You can also search for the game in the Smart Glass application and download it through there.

Players who play the game on Xbox 360 shouldn’t play the Xbox One version as there is a chance that it could affect Xbox 360 saves. Happy Wars will launch for the Xbox One very soon but if you want to get in on the action right now and aren’t worried about your Xbox 360 progress, go for it.

Happy Wars is a multiplayer game, defined as a role-playing strategy game, although it also has a short story-driven single player campaign mode. The multiplayer mode consists of two teams of up to fifteen players attempting to destroy the other team’s castle while also defending their own. The players choose from one of three classes, the warrior, the mage, and the cleric. There are also various subclasses. Happy Wars was quite popular on Xbox 360 and the Xbox One version is a welcome addition to the console’s catalog.
