Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has sold a lot of copies in just 2 months. According to Konami’s latest financial report, more than 5 million copies of the game have been shipped worldwide since September 1. The game also made $179 million on its opening day. Considering that the game didn’t top the NPD charts when it released, this may come as a shock to most people but the franchise is incredibly popular outside of the United States. I would be curious to look at those figures.
