Update: Some users are reporting that it works.
According to some images posted on by Michael Nolan on Xbox One Reddit, it will be possible to write messages, and probably any other type of text, using your voice. This feature is called voice-to-text and is available on a lots of other devices, like smartphones, and some social media platforms, like Facebook Messenger.
Although there isn’t much information about it, this voice-to-text feature will be among the catalog of features presented in the OneCore update. Another thing that’s not confirmed is how exactly this voice-to-text feature will work. I assume it will use the Kinect for sure but besides that there’s no way to confirm if this will also be possible through a headset since even Preview members aren’t able to use it.
One thing is certain, and I can confirm it, the OneCore update will definitely change and raise, not only the Xbox experience but also gaming consoles, in general, to a whole new level.
The OneCore update is currently in beta phase and only available for those Preview members that want to try it out. The public release is already scheduled for November this year, so even if you aren’t a Preview member you won’t need to wait much more to try all the new features that come with it.
