After Microsoft nearly locked down a fifth NPD win in the United States thanks to them selling over 1 million Xbox One S consoles during the Black Friday weekend, Microsoft has decided to continue the savings going into Christmas. Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One S will be discounted by $50 across all models, including the Limited Edition Gears of War Bundle.
The special price, however, temporary will last until December 24th when it will revert to its normal pricing. However, it remains to be seen if Microsoft keeps the lower price going into the new year like they did in 2015.
This makes the Xbox One S an extremely big value buy for gaming and entertainment enthusiasts. Microsoft recently revealed their new TV spot, featuring a young man trying to explain to his grandmother that the Xbox One S has 4K Ultra-HD resolution. The Xbox One S features a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive, something the more expensive and supposedly more powerful PS4 Pro does not have. It also can output in 4K and features HDR and 4K upscaling for games.
Seems like Microsoft is making sure they take the rest of the holiday season closing off with a win.
