Mike Ybarra recently tweeted out that the launch of the Xbox One S was fast approaching. However, the current date available to retailers is August 31. It’s unlikely that the console will launch then because there are some rumors that it might launch on August 2.

Recently a leak on Amazon Spain stated that the console would launch then. However, Amazon isn’t usually reliable but the August 2 date is curious because that’s the day the new update comes out. There might be something to it. I’m guessing the console’s release date will be announced this coming week.
