Developer of the story driven episodic game series The Walking Dead, Telltale Games, has announced today that they will be releasing Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1 on October 13 digitally and October 27 at retail. The disc version of the game will serve as a season pass. You won’t be able to play all 5 episodes at once but you’ll be able to get them at no extra charge when they’re released if you own the disc.
Minecraft: Story Mode was announced last year and will provide a story line to the popular building game. The game will have an incredibly large and diverse cast ranging from Patton Oswalt to Billy West.
Telltale also provided an update on their progress with the Tales of The Borerlands and Game of Thrones finales. The studio said, “They are shaping up to be two of our most ambitious finales yet! Look out for more news on those coming out soon.” Stay tuned to ICXM for more information.
