Mixed reality devices seem to be the next step in virtual reality and today Microsoft announced that mixed reality devices will come to Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio, in 2018. In a blog post the company said:
“We’re also excited to share that Windows Mixed Reality experiences will light up on other devices over time, beyond desktop and Microsoft HoloLens. Our plan is to bring mixed reality content to the Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio, in 2018.”
The wording makes it sound like mixed reality devices may be coming to the standard Xbox One too in some form. We’ll just have to wait and see what this entails. Either ways, it’s still exciting because I want to see what new experiences they bring to our favorite console.
