Microsoft has offered some details as to how you can retain your OneDrive storage. Last month Microsoft announced the removal of the unlimited storage option on OneDrive and also their plan to lower the 15GB storage option to 5GB. This prompted consumer backlash and Microsoft has finally responded.
To retain your 15 GB of OneDrive storage, you must log into your account and opt-in. By doing so, your account will not be affected when the changes take place. While the company still plans to remove the unlimited option and replace it with a 1 TB option, it is nice to see Microsoft come to a compromise with customers who rely on OneDrive to fulfill their storage needs.
