During Gamescom 2016, Blizzard has revealed a new upcoming Overwatch map named Eichenwalde.
Eichenwalde is a map set on the outskirts of Stuttgart, Germany in an abandoned village and is an Assault/Escort hybrid. The history of the map sets the stage for the game type. As the site of a famous battle during the Omnic Crisis where the leader of the Crusaders, Balderich von Alder, died, one team must escort a battering ram to Eichenwalde Castle to reclaim his remains from their resting place, while the opposing team does everything they can to thwart their attempts.
Blizzard has not announced a release date for the new map, simply saying it is coming soon.
