An expansion for Ori and the Blind Forest is in the works and is all set to launch alongside a definitive edition. Yes, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will include this new content and will release this fall.
News on the expansion was announced during Gamescom by Thomas Mahler, one of the developers at Moons Studios. The expansion will come to Xbox One and Windows 10. Mahler said the team took fan feedback to heart and wanted to address the larger points. Apart from the announcement, there really wasn’t any other information. We don’t know how much it will cost or if existing owners will get it for free. We’ll update you as soon as we know more but I suspect we’ll have these answers closer to launch.
