Payday 2 – a wildly successful PC shooter – is heading to Xbox One and PS4 this June in the form of the Crimewave Edition. Payday 2: Crimewave Edition includes ‘over a year’s worth’ of DLC previously available on PC at no additional cost.
The game allows players to co-operatively live out their fantasies of robbing banks, and perhaps the fantasy that GTAV’s heists will ever being released (jk its coming). Payday 2 features a deep customisation system, diverse and unique classes, and highly praised mechanics.
The CEO of developer Starbreeze Studios (perhaps most famous for Chronicles of Riddick) Bo Andersson Klint had this to say on the announcement: “The continuation of the Payday-saga on Xbox One and Playstation 4 is going to be awesome. With improved frame rate, greater looking textures, 1080p resolution and more than a year worth of updates included in the game at launch, robbing banks together has never looked as sweet. Getting Payday into the hands of as many gamers as possible has always been one of our mantras, hopefully our initial offer will make it easier than ever for new and old heisters alike to enjoy Payday 2.”
People who preorder Payday 2: Crimewave Edition ahead of the June launch will unlock bonus DLC containing a red dot sight for all rifles, a bunch of exclusive masks and a cache of in-game cash. Preordering the game will also net you a 25% discount.
