Phil Spencer, head of Xbox responded to speculation that Xbox will respond to the PS4.5 with their own upgraded console. During the Microsoft Build 2016 Developers conference, Phil responded to the rumor by saying he isn’t a big fan of the idea and that if they are going to progress they won’t be doing it in small numbers. He also said that he is very proud of how the Xbox One is doing and the changes they have made and if they were going to build a new console that it wouldn’t be just a change, it would be a serious upgrade.
Would you buy a whole new console just for upgraded graphics? Personally, I fully agree with this decision and I really think making customers pay another $500+ would be terrible for a single change to visuals and would be something I would never pay for.
