Update: An alleged poster of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare also leaked. It features a solider holding what looks like an astronaut’s helmet. I guess the new game does take place in space.
Everyone knows that the annual Call of Duty announcement should be coming soon. E3 is rapidly creeping towards us and Activision still haven’t said anything about Infinity Ward’s upcoming game. An alleged listing on the PlayStation Store, however, may have just leaked the name of the next instalment in the Call of Duty series.
If you thought Call of Duty was ever going to end, you should fasten your seatbelt because if this title is anything to go by, the franchise will never die. The newest edition to the franchise will allegedly be called Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, possibly implying that we will be traveling to space as previous titles “Modern Warfare” and “Advanced Warfare” took place in the present and the relatively near future, respectively. Nonetheless, it seems we can rest assured that we will continue to shoot virtual men in the face for what seems like forever.
There doesn’t seem to be any concrete evidence as to whether this information or screenshot—posted by Redditor Goontmyfries—is legitimate or not, but if another leaked piece of Call of Duty news is anything to go by, we should find out on May 3rd.
