RUMOR: Microsoft may reveal new Age of Empires and Battletoads games soon

Word via the rumour mill has Microsoft releasing a new teaser trailer that will feature some interesting pieces of information on what we might see at E3 this year. Microsoft will have their E3 keynote on Monday June 13th, and among other things, they’re expected to reveal new hardware. But besides these new hardware products, what most gamers are yearning for is what they will show off in games.

Well according to a rumour on Reddit, they will show off several new games including some I myself have been asking for. First off, Rare will show off two new games. Sea of Thieves we have already seen, but apparently the game is not a traditional MMO. It will follow in the footsteps of Destiny or The Division, both who have seen massive success in the last few years. Besides that, Rare is about to show off a new game in the Battletoads franchise. This will make classical Rare fans extremely happy if this comes to fruition.

Next up, Microsoft is expected to show a new game in the Age of Empires franchise. It’s been decades since the last Age of Empires game have been released (not the mobile or online games). Fans have been clamouring for a new entry and it’s certain that this will be a massive announcement.

Other general leaks have placed the next Forza Horizon game in Australia, a new General RAAM-type character added to Killer Instinct and Halo Wars 2 receiving a beta this year. With E3 right around the corner, it will be quite interesting to see what happens on each of these fronts, and if we’ll see some more teasers in the upcoming trailer.

Check out the Reddit page for more information, and keep your eyes glued to ICXM for more info going into E3. The page also revealed that a new State of Decay game might be shown during the briefing. Lastly, the Anniversary update for Xbox might be available to Preview members right after E3.
