Slightly Mad finally unveils Project CARS running on Xbox One

Project CARS is an upcoming racing simulator developed by Slightly Mad Studios. The game will release on a multitude of platforms including Windows and Xbox One. While we have seen plenty of gameplay footage from this title, most of it was from the Windows version running on a powerful gaming rig. Slightly Mad finally released Xbox One footage to the YouTube channel Outside Xbox. The game looks absolutely stunning on Xbox One and will run at 1080p 60 FPS on the console. You can check out the gameplay below. Everything, especially the weather, is just breathtaking to say the least.

Funding for the game came from the community and the developers themselves. The individuals did not seek financial aid from a traditional publisher. Through the purchase of Tool Packs, players could contribute to development through content creation and marketing. Members gained special perks depending on the purchased Tool Pack. Customers who bought the packs will also receive a share of the profits generated within the first three years after launch as compensation for their effort.

Slightly Mad Studios recently delayed Project CARS for a third time. Originally, the game was scheduled for release in November of last year, but was delayed until March, and then again until April. Instead of releasing on April 2, 2015 like previously planned, Project CARS will now be ship in mid-May according to the company.
