Update: According to an analyst Red Dead Redemption 2 will sell similar numbers to its prequel. Many were expecting it to sell double so that’s highly unlikely.
Red Dead Redemption 2 may feature three protagonists according to a pretty substantial leak on 4Chan. For those of you who don’t know, 4Chan is notorious for leaking details about games. They revealed the entire plot of Final Fantasy 15 months before it came out. Some other details emerged too.
According to the user, only the single-player campaign will be available at launch. Red Dead Online will show up much later because Rockstar wants everyone to play the main game. The user also said that the game is a prequel and the three characters are all members of John Marston’s old gang that was around before the time of Red Dead Redemption.
I’m not sure if there’s any credibility behind these rumors but 4Chan and this user have a great history of leaking information about games in the past. We’ll see what the future holds but it’s still interesting. What do you think?
