Capcom’s newest entry in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 7, has been met with a lot of skepticism from hardcore fans of the series after its initial reveal during Sony’s E3 2016 conference. Capcom have just released a new trailer for the upcoming survival horror title which features more horrifying first person gameplay, this time from the perspective of a female protagonist.
This setting does evoke more of a Resident Evil feeling than the playable teaser did but only in the sense of location. The setting shown off in this trailer seems like it would fit in with the start of Resident Evil 4 with the cracked, rotting wood bridges decorated with dolls. However, just as with the original reveal of Resi 7, it does still feel a lot more like an AAA version of games like Outlast than your typical Resident Evil game. Check out the trailer below.
