Update: Speaking to Gamertag Radio, Aaron Greenberg has revealed that Microsoft’s holiday line-up of Xbox One exclusives in 2015 sold 88% more units than their holiday line-up of exclusives in 2014.
In an additional announcement from Mike Nichols, Microsoft shared that 2015 was the biggest year in Xbox history with record global engagement and sales. On December 28, there were more gamers using Xbox Live than any other day in Xbox history. Every title in their exclusive 2015 holiday games line-up, including Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, sold over 1 million units, and the number of Xbox One gamers who played Microsoft-published titles more than doubled compared to 2014.
Nichols also shared that there is even more in store for fans in 2016, offering a glimpse of new features and games scheduled for this year. With games like ReCore, Quantum Break, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2 and Gears of War 4 coming next year, it’s definitely an exciting time to be an Xbox One gamer.
