While backward compatibility might be a great feature, there are issues when it comes to emulation. Almost all of the games that are backward compatible suffer from stuttering. While many have been fixed with patches, there are some that need more work. The good news is that the Xbox team knows about the issue and have isolated the problem. Seems that there might be a problem with the emulator code.
Lots of people saying delete 360 storage on X1 to improve BC stutter. Not related. We know of the issue and are getting a fix out soon.

Hopefully when they issue the update it fixes the problem. I’m guessing it’ll reduce it but not eliminate it because each game is different. The more demanding the title, the more issue it might have. We’ll keep you posted if we have more developments on this end.
