Update: Skullgirls developers responded to this leak. They said that there wasn’t an Xbox One version of the game in development and they don’t know why it showed up on the ESRB. I doubt that’s correct because the ESRB doesn’t just make up listings.
Today on the ESRB website, Skullgirls Encore for the Xbox One popped up with a teen rating. Skullgirls is a 2D fighting game that was originally released on the Xbox Arcade and offered a hardcore fighting experience with very beautiful art. The game was made by Reverge Labs (now known as Lab Zero Games) and had a very big focus on competitive play.
The game takes place around an artifact known as the skull heart that can grant young women wishes but if they have an impure heart the wish will be twisted and she is turned into a monster known as a Skullgirl. The game is available for backwards compatibility currently but has no official title on the current gen consoles but if this is right that might change soon.
