Update: Xbox Store download speeds are back to normal now.
Over the past few days, ever since the Black Ops 3 beta launched, download speeds on Xbox have been very slow. Users report that they can’t even download updates. Their internet connections are fine, only the content that needs to be downloaded from the Xbox Store is affected.
Well, the good news is that the Xbox team is working on it and everything should be resolved within the hour. Replying to a user’s question on Twitter, Xbox Support confirmed the timeline.

We don’t really know what caused the issue but I suspect it’s due to the recent content usage problems associated with the Black Ops 3 beta codes. It might also be related to the Level 3 internet outage a few days ago. Well, as long as Xbox is aware of the issue and are working on a solution, I’m satisfied. Maybe they’ll let us know more about it.
