Golden Axe and Sonic the Hedgehog games are now downloadable with Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection disc. The titles are backward compatible in their digital form but it’s good to know that people who bought the disc will enjoy the benefits of backward compatibility on Xbox One.
It appears that Golden Axe and Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 are the only ones available to download at the moment. Other games on the disc should be available to download on Xbox One as well after you insert the game into the console. If you own the disc, definitely check it out.
