After a brief delay announced at SXSW, Sega has finally revealed Sonic Mania’s release date. Fans can hop back into these classic Sonic levels starting this August.
A preorder trailer showcases sketch and color animations by Tyson Hesse set to custom music from Hyper Potions. Sonic Mania offers a mix of updated classic stages and new levels in its original 2D side-scrolling style. Characters like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles will all make appearances.
Sonic Mania is due out on August 15, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can preorder a standard copy of the game here for $20. The limited Collector’s Edition of the game will set you back $70.
