Are you ready for the zombie apocalypse? April 28th will see the launch of smash hit survival sandbox game, State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition. Due for release on the Xbox One you can purchase the game digitally, or for the first time physical copies of the game will be hitting store shelves.
If your a little nervous about throwing yourself in a zombie ravaged world, full of marauding un-dead and many other things that can kill you, perhaps the pre-order bonuses on offer might tempt you to head off into the apocalyptic sunset of this truly enjoyable title.
OK so your knife in State of Decay is the only weapon that will never break on you, its your best friend and often the last resort you have to avoiding a gruesome death. Suffice to say a good knife is very handy in a tight situation…well pre-order gamers your in luck. If you choose to buy the game physically, and live in the US of A, there are three retailers who will be offering an exclusive knife for use within the game if you pre-order. The knife you get as a pre-order bonus is totally dependant on which retailer you order with.
Amazon will get “The Android” – A next-generation box cutter infused with the best that modern technology has to offer. Ergonomic grip, perfectly-angled blade, and an edge that never wears out.
Best Buy will get “The Australian” – Now that’s a knife! Intimidate crocodiles and street punks alike with this replica knife, straight from the wilds of Hollywood.
GameStop will get “The Avalonian” – A true work of art, taken off the body of a fantasy enthusiast whose excitement at having real zombies to stab with his enchanted dagger was tragically short-lived.
If you are not wanting to buy the game physically, and already own the game on 360…do not despair, there are pre-order goodies up for grabs for you guys too.
If you already bought the game on Xbox 360 or Steam you will be entitled to a 33% discount (roughly $10) when you purchase the Year One: Survival Edition via Xbox Live or your Steam account. Previous owners also gain access to a new character Gurubani Kaur, a duel sword wielding bad ass with a permanent supressed assault riflein her arsenal to take down the undead hordes. Last but not least whether your a previous owner or not, all physical and digital pre-orders will have access to the “Prepper’s Pack.” This bundle of exclusive content includes an SKS Survivor firearm, a Folding Axe melee weapon, and a Prepper-friendly SUV.
