Mirror’s Edge Catalyst system requirements revealed

The reboot of the Mirror’s Edge franchise, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, is another Frostbite 3 title coming from developer DICE. This means that consumers gaming on the PC should be expecting some pretty beefy system requirements to run this title on maximum settings. DICE have thankfully released the system requirements ahead of the closed beta that starts later this month. The requirements are as follows:

MINIMUM:

• OS: Windows® 7 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)
• CPU: Intel i3-3250 / AMD FX-6350. (Note: Mirror’s Edge Catalyst requires at least 4 logical cores to run.)
• RAM: 6 GB
• HARD DRIVE: At least 25 GB of free space
• VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 650 Ti 2GB or better / AMD Radeon™ R9 270x or better
• INPUT: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller

RECOMMENDED:

• OS: Windows® 10 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)
• CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz / AMD FX-8350 at 4.0 GHz
• RAM: 16 GB
• HARD DRIVE: At least 25 GB of free space
• VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970 4GB or better / AMD Radeon™ R9 280x 3GB or better
• INPUT: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller

PC users shouldn’t be surprised at the high level of specs needed to run this title as the game sits very close spec-wise to the last Frostbite 3 game DICE released—Battlefront. DICE are very good at pushing the graphics and technology of their games further than most developers and I’m excited to see what Mirror’s Edge Catalyst looks like when players crank the settings up to the maximum. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst launches on May 24 this year.
