RunGunJumpGun is a fiercely hard twitch game you play with just two buttons. One button lets you fly, the other blasts obstacles out of the way. There’s no stopping. The developers wanted to take this stupid simple mechanic and turn it into something ruthless, deep, and weird. They wrapped the mechanic in a surreal science fiction story, psychedelic colors, over the top music and meticulously designed levels.
The title is definitely brutally hard. You die over and over again but thankfully it has a forgiving checkpoint system. Gamers who love experiences like Gear Gauntlet, Super Meat Boy and other challenging performers will enjoy this experience. While it’s much simpler than those games, it requires a lot of skill when it comes to timing your gun so you hover in the air or blast obstacles in front of you.
