Turn 10 Studios regularly live-stream on their Forza Motorsport Twitch Channel and during their most recent stream, eagled-eyed viewers were able to notice a promotion for the ‘Forza Horizon 2: Pre-Order Car Pack’ in the games pause menu. This could suggest that this will be the June 2015 car pack. Turn 10 are usually on newer builds of the game before the general public get their hands on the updates meaning new content in upcoming updates can often be spotted this way.
The ‘Forza Horizon 2 Pre-Order Car Pack’ will include four new cars for players to collect, tune and design and each of these cars were previously only available as retailer exclusives. GameStop, Microsoft, GAME UK and many others allowed players to get a certain number of these cars by pre-ordering from their brick-and-motor or online stores. Few players would’ve managed to get all four of these cars, however soon everyone in the community will have a chance at driving each of them.
The four cars that will be included in the pack are:
• 2013 Audi RS 4 Avant
• 2013 BMW M6 Coupe
• 2009 Ferrari California
• 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera
While this pack could launch at any time and be separate from the June pack, I suspect this will be the June pack selling for $5 on the Xbox Store. We could also see an expansion announced for Forza Horizon 2 during Microsoft’s E3 Conference on June 15th and launch shortly after the briefing (like Nurburgring did for Forza Motorsport 5 during E3 2014). An expansion would consist of new cars, new drivable areas/roads, new events and new achievements, similar to Storm Island.
