Night Dive Studios announced on Twitter that they will be bringing Turok Remastered and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil Remastered to Xbox One. The game which originally came out in 1997 is a first-person shooter in which you are a space marine sent to this dinosaur infested planet to capture your old leader. The remastered version was originally released on steam in December 2015 so looking at that we can expect to see features like improved visuals and level design without losing the original graphics. The game currently has no release date but with the developer also remastering System Shock it might take a bit longer.
I wasn’t even born yet when the first Turok released and I never have played it before but this will give me and younger gamers like me the opportunity to experience it. For the older gamers that did play the original, I’m sure this will be a walk down memory lane. Either way, Turok and Turok 2 Remastered are definitely games to keep an eye out for if you don’t mind the older graphics.
