Ubisoft will no longer release Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 games, except from their casual rhythmic series, Just Dance. The company confirmed the move last night during a financial call with investors. They stated they would be shifting their focus on to next-generation consoles and PC.
Last year, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Rogue, which launched on Xbox 360 and PS3. However, this year’s London-based addition to the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, will only release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Ubisoft’s stance on Wii U development is currently unclear, although they did state that Watch Dogs would be the last “mature” game to launch on the platform.
