Wargaming reveals World of Tanks Xbox One screenshots

Update: World of Tanks was just listed on the Xbox One Store. The page includes more information on the title and reveals that the total download size will be 30 GB on the system.

Wargaming recently revealed new details and screenshots from the Xbox One version of World of Tanks to IGN. While the free-to-play title maintains the same content as its Xbox 360 equivalent, the next-generation version features better and higher fidelity graphics. The tank models have always been impressive but they look stunning in the new version due to the doubled polygon count. The team decided to go even further and made the environments even more gorgeous by taking advantage of the new hardware. Destruction effects and lighting have also been revamped.

Wagner, the project’s creative director and producer, stated that all of the forty maps will receive the same level of polish and attention to detail that was present in these screenshots. Apart from that, all four hundred of the game’s tanks have been built from scratch to take advantage of the new hardware. The Xbox One version will add many other features like dynamic weather patterns and the ability for fires to burn and spread. According to the developer, the graphical overhaul will deliver an experience that’s more alive and like war than ever before.

World of Tanks is coming to the Xbox One later this year and, as stated earlier, will include all content present in the Xbox 360 version. Wargaming did not want to divide the player base by limiting content on either platform. We loved the game on Xbox 360 and cannot wait to try it out on the new console.
