After controversies around Hulk Hogan arose earlier this week, regarding racist language recorded on video, he has been fired from WWE. Last Friday, Hulk Hogan, also known as ‘Terry Gene Bollea’, was fired from World Wrestling Entertainment due to recordings of extremely offensive language that surfaced from 2007.
Since, it has been announced that WWE 2K16 will not include Hulk Hogan in the roster, as he no longer is with WWE, and is not planned to return. This ensures that the next title has up to date rosters, alongside the large selection offered.
While removing Hogan from WWE 2K16 is understandable, it appears that the paid DLC for the wrestler has been removed from the current title, WWE 2K15. The content is not accessible for download on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network, therefore the DLC is now exclusive to those who currently own it.
It is surprising to see WWE taking such drastic measures to get Hogan’s name away from their products. While it makes sense to remove him from the upcoming release, removing existing DLC shows how seriously the prior events have been handled.
