Xbox One holiday update rolling out today

Update: Mike Ybarra said on Twitter that the Xbox One update improves download speeds around the world. We verified this and it definitely seems to be the case.

Today, the holiday update for Xbox One and the Xbox app starts to roll out to the broader community. The update brings Clubs and Looking for Group (LFG), Achievement Rarity and more, and makes it easier for you to find and connect with other gamers across devices on Xbox Live.

Additional highlights of the update include Group Messaging, an updated Gamerscore Leaderboard, and emojis for your Xbox One virtual keyboard. For more information, check out our Xbox Wire post here, which includes a walkthrough video featuring Scott Henson, Partner Group Program Manager for Xbox Engineering. And don’t forget, Clubs and LFG are great for gamers on the go. Set up or respond to LFG posts and stay connected with your Clubs with the Xbox app on Windows 10, iOS, and Android devices.

Lastly, if you’d like to share Clubs and LFG tutorial videos to help your readers make the most of them, be sure to check out our engineer Q&A-style Xbox Wire post here. The post also highlights some of the engineer’s experiences helping bring Clubs and LFG to Xbox Live.
