Steam makes all games compatible with Xbox controllers

Players will soon be able to use an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller on any Steam game thanks to Steam’s latest update, whether or not a game natively supports them.

The latest update, detailed on Steam’s website, says that if a game does not support Xbox controllers, recommended controls will be assigned from Steam games that do. With the Steam Controller Configurator tool, people can take advantage of its advanced mapping features to map controls for any game.

For those wishing to utilize this feature, as of right now, it is only available for people who install Steam Client Beta updates. There is no word yet as to when this will become widely available to everyone.
