Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Scorpio has gained a lot of attention recently from its online association with AMD’s upcoming Ryzen and Vega technology.
Branching from an image of Xbox Scorpio being advertised at the official Ryzen section of the AMD booth at this year’s CES Expo. A source close to ICXM visited the AMD booth at CES to ask the AMD staff about the situation to which they replied, “It’s there for a reason but we can’t talk about it yet.”
All of AMD’s Ryzen PC builds at CES were built to specifically show off AMD’s architecture for VR and 4K gaming performance, a feature also touted in the Scorpio advertisement at that very booth. Whilst we still remain skeptical about the console’s specifications, this quote from AMD definitely rouses suspicion towards the idea of Ryzen technology inside the Scorpio. Tell us what you think in the comments below. We think that the Xbox Scorpio uses a modified version of the technology which is probably less expensive in order to make it affordable in the console market.
