Ark: Survival of the Fittest merging with Ark: Survival Evolved

Studio Wildcard has announced that its free-to-play spin-off Ark: Survival of the Fittest will be merging back with the main game, Ark: Survival Evolved. The decision to merge the two titles was made so that there will be no content license restrictions on modders, who will be able to take anything from Survival Evolved and put it into Survival of the Fittest.

Ark: Survival of the Fittest is currently only available on Steam and is classified as a multiplayer online survival arena, where up to 72 players can compete to see who can be the lone survivor while brutally taking out the competition. Studio Wildcard originally wanted to bring Survival of the Fittest to consoles as well, however they have halted console development for now as they merge it with Survival Evolved. If the main game receives any optimization updates, Survival of the Fittest will also receive them as well. The developer wants to sit back and see how these changes affect the game going forward.
