New Borderlands: The Handsome Collection update resolves cloud save issues

An update for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has been released on Xbox One that resolves several different issues with transferring Xbox 360 save files to the Xbox One version of the game.

Players will be prompted to download the update upon booting up either Borderlands 2 or Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

After updating, users will be able to transfer their Badass Ranks and customizations after they have re-downloaded their game save using the “Cloud Save” option on the main menu.

The following progress will be maintained:

– If the Badass Rank from your uploaded previous-gen character save is higher than your current Handsome Collection Badass Rank, your Badass Rank will be overwritten with the higher value.
– Customizations from your previous-gen character save will be added to your Handsome Collection account profile.
– Any mission progress you made prior to the update can be saved by selecting “Save As New” instead of “Overwrite” when re-downloading your save post-update.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection released on Tuesday 24th March in North America and Friday 27th March worldwide. For a step-by-step tutorial on how to transfer your saves from the Xbox 360 version to the Xbox One version, click here.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is the essential Borderlands compilation and includes the definitive versions of both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, built specifically for next-generation consoles, and is available now for Xbox One.
